Honoring its Camden history, the beautifully restored 1790 Sea Captain’s home and impressive summer cottage, 1800’s “Highland Cottage”, The inn is tastefully handcrafted in colonial style throughout. Suites and rooms feature hand hewn four-poster beds, fine linens and private baths. Our parlor, library, dining room and veranda offer plentiful, gracious gathering spaces for our select six rooms of guests in every season. We invite you to revel in a relaxing, enjoyable stay and to indulge in our sumptuous breakfasts!

We love breakfast at Timbercliffe Cottage Inn…and so do our guests!
Start your day with a delightful fresh breakfast from the inn’s country kitchen. We begin breakfast with a cup of our praised morning roast coffee or a wide selection of teas from 7:30 am. Followed by a different feast for the eyes breakfast entree daily, varying sweet and savory of fine local ingredients.
Some of our favorites: raspberry popovers, blueberry pancakes, “Cottage” bacon, sausages, five-cheese Nantucket pie with thin potato crust -topped by ham, very berry soufflé, omelets (filled with goodies such as smoked sausage, chevre, and avocado) and many others…Naturally, we serve Maine maple syrup,
Breakfast is served on the verranda with lovely views of the Penobscot Bay, or in our main dining room with a great woodland view. Guests always enjoy lively conversation sharing adventures over a scrumptious breakfast.

Timbercliffe’s wide, wrap around, ocean view veranda is the perfect place to begin your day with a delicious breakfast and cup of steaming coffee. And after a relaxing or adventurous day exploring downtown Camden or nearby Camden Hills State Park, the porch is a relaxing spot to unwind in our wicker rockers with a refreshing drink and a good book.
Sit back on the porch swing and glimpse a tall mast schooner or grand yachts sailing out of picturesque Camden Harbor before an evening stroll to the village for dinner.

Timbercliffe Cottage is uniquely nestled on a Camden Village hillside, just above High Street, blissfully secluded by a historic stone wall and a rolling lawn, away from traffic noise. Our storybook hillside setting provides for lovely long views of the Penobscot Bay!
We are in the Historic Village District, within walking distance of the town center and harbor and a half mile from the Camden Hills State Park. Come enjoy our views and tranquil setting!
